DGSI Skimmer Products

The Durham Geo range of skimmer systems adopts a modular approach comprising a range of skimmer assemblies and a range of pumps. Optimum matching of the most appropriate pump to a skimmer is a function of a number of factors including:
• Water table fluctuation range;
• Type of Product and it’s viscosity;
• Well diameter;
• Quantity of product present; and
• Depth from bottom of well to product/water interface
• Nature of site including availability of services (power & compressed air).
Selection Guide for Skimmer Assemblies
Lower viscosity LNAPL: Choose Standard Skimmer
High viscosity LNAPL: Choose High Viscosity Skimmer or Density Skimmer
Minimal depth between base of well and product water interface: Choose Density Skimmer:
Selection Guide for Skimmer Pumps
Water-table fluctuations < 1m: Choose Fap Plus Pump;
Higher water-table fluctuations: Choose Fap Plus ZW pumps;
Limited compressed Air availability: Choose Pump on Demand (POD) pump;
Low LNAPL recharge to wells: Choose Passive Skimmer Canisters
